Corporate Development Manager – Growth & Mobility Program

Location: Zurich, Stuttgart, Milan or hybrid from another EU location where our company has a legal entity

Are you an experienced manager with a passion for business growth, strategy, and building successful organizations? Do you thrive in dynamic environments and see international mobility as an opportunity for career advancement?

As the A+P Group continues to accelerate its growth through strategic acquisitions and partnerships, we are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Corporate Development team. This role is designed for ambitious mid-level managers who want to play a key role in shaping the future of the Group while preparing for senior leadership opportunities within our operating companies in US, Europe and Asia.

Working within a small, dedicated team focused on strategy, business development and mergers & acquisitions, you will lead strategic projects across market expansion, business planning, acquisitions, company establishment, and post-merger integration. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain broad international exposure to corporate development activities and serves as a launch pad to future middle and senior management roles within newly acquired or existing group companies, particularly within our production operations.

YOUR MISSION

  • Drive the development and execution of the Group’s business development strategy, identifying growth opportunities through acquisitions, partnerships, market expansion, and new business initiatives.
  • Lead strategic projects, including market research, business planning, market-entry strategies, and operational improvement initiatives across the Group.
  • Identify, assess, and develop investment, partnership, and acquisition opportunities aligned with the Group’s long-term objectives.
  • Manage the full prospecting process, from target identification and relationship building to stakeholder engagement and opportunity qualification.
  • Conduct strategic and financial analysis, including business valuations, financial modelling, SWOT assessments, and integration business cases.
  • Lead and coordinate due diligence activities, supporting transaction structuring, negotiations, and contract review processes.
  • Drive the integration of acquired businesses, ensuring successful onboarding, synergy realization, and alignment with the Group’s strategic and operational goals.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline, ideally complemented by an MBA and a solid foundation in accounting, corporate finance, or business valuation.
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience, including 5 years within the rubber industry or a comparable manufacturing environment and 4 years in production-focused roles with exposure to operations and management.
  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities, with a minimum of 3 years leading cross-functional teams and strategic initiatives in complex business environments.
  • Experience in business planning, corporate development, strategy consulting, mergers & acquisitions, or other growth-oriented business functions would be an advantage. Exposure to financial analysis, business modelling, valuation, and investment evaluation is considered a plus.
  • Highly analytical and commercially minded, with advanced Excel skills, strong financial acumen, and the ability to translate data into actionable business decisions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, combined with a collaborative, pragmatic, and results-oriented approach.
  • Open and interested to relocate internationally for new roles
  • Self-driven, strategic, and internationally minded, with strong networking abilities, a customer-focused mindset, and fluency in English; additional languages such as German, Italian, Chinese, or others are highly valued.
